Our collection of written lessons will instruct the beginner musician on basic topics, such as how to choose the instrument that is right for them, as well as how to hold it properly, and how to read sheet music.
Audio Lessons
Music Online 101 audio lessons offer instruction in the basics of tuning and embouchure, and our "Listen & Learn" series gives the beginner musician step by step instruction in how to recognize proper notes, flat notes, sharp notes, tempo, and much much more.
Video Lessons
The video lessons offered on our site are the next best thing to face-to-face private instruction. The "Play Along" series features line by line, note by note instruction from our expert musicians, presented at a speed that is easy for even a beginner musician to follow and imitate.
Private Lessons
A great option for any beginner musician living in the Houston area, our private lessons offer the best aspects of all our online lessons. They offer the opportunity to ask questions and get immediate feedback on your performance. Private lessons are offered Monday through Friday from 3pm to 6:30pm, in 30 minute increments, not to exceed 1 hour and 30 minutes. Sessions must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance to guarantee availability.
